Our first-ever Regan’s Book Drive (February 2021) was an amazing success. We teamed up with Holy Cross School in DeWitt to collect books for patients at Golisano Children’s Hospital. We put the plea out on social media, created an Amazon wish list, and asked the community to send donations. Well, the outpouring of donations was nothing short of fantastic. Piles of boxes were delivered daily … the record was 56 boxes one day, 54 packages the next day. Crazy! In all, we collected nearly 1,600 books. They range in age from babies up to teenagers. We have SO many, that we decided to also donate some to Joslin Diabetes Center, the Pediatric Cancer Center, St. Joseph’s Health Primary Care Center Main and West, and Ronald McDonald House.
