REGAN (REE-GAN) ELIZABETH SHETSKY WAS TAKEN FROM HER FAMILY ON JANUARY 4, 2017 WHEN SHE WAS HIT BY A CAR IN HER NURSERY SCHOOL PARKING LOT IN SYRACUSE, NY. SHE WAS HOLDING HER DADDY’S HAND AT THE TIME AND THEY WERE STANDING BETWEEN TWO PARKED CARS. REGAN WAS 3 YEARS OLD, ABOUT TO TURN 4.

This spunky,
bubbly, and funny
girl was loved by all who met her.

She loved the playground, the beach and went hand-in-hand with her beloved big brother and true best friend, Gavin.

Regan’s family (Kelly, Mark, Gavin, and Grayson) started Regan’s Acts of Kindness to make sure that Regan and her smile are never forgotten and to continue to spread the smiles that she did so easily. The Regan’s Act of Kindness movement can be found at www.facebook.com/regansactsofkindness. A Regan’s Act of Kindness is anything that you would normally consider a random act of kindness; something that would put a smile on another person’s face.

So far, as part of Regan’s Acts of Kindness, the Shetsky Family donated playground equipment to Holy Cross School in DeWitt, NY, created Regan’s Corner at The Wild Animal Park in Chittenango, NY, and planted a memorial garden in Syracuse. They also annually collect Christmas ornaments and books for new babies born at St. Joseph’s Health Hospital, patients at Golisano Children’s Hospital, and children who are helped by McMahon Ryan Advocacy Center, Elmcrest Children’s Center, CNY Ronald McDonald House, Joslin Diabetes Center, and Upstate Cancer Center in Syracuse, NY. A second ornament drive occurs in the Albany, NY, area for babies and children at Albany Medical Center. The Shetsky family also started a kindness rock initiative, Regan’s Rocks, that is now spanning the world.
