SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) – The parents of Regan Shetsky– a 3-year-old struck and killed by a car earlier this year– is asking that people decorate “kindness rocks” in their daughter’s memory and leave them for others to find.
Regan’s Acts of Kindness, a Facebook page created in memory Regan, is teaming up with 315 Rocks to spread happiness with kindness rocks. The goal of the kindness rocks initiative, worldwide, is to promote random acts of kindness to unsuspecting recipients.
“This is the perfect way for us to spread Regan’s joy,” said Kelly Shetsky, Regan’s mom. “Regan loved doing arts and crafts, especially painting. She would have loved this project. And, she would have really loved finding them while we were out and about.”
Those who choose to decorate a rock are asked to note Regan’s Facebook page somewhere on the rock.
You can post photos of the rocks you leave and find to the Facebook page.
They will be shared between Regan’s page and 315 Rocks, a popular Facebook page which is dedicated to the kindness rock initiative in Central New York.
